Parent Participation

 Being a participation preschool means just that: our parents join together to help run the school. At Wesbrook, every family helps out in a variety of ways, and the primary goal is to keep our school a great early learning experience for our children.

Responsibilities

A parent participation preschool allows families to be actively involved in their child's education. This requires a serious commitment from each family. We rely on family members to perform the jobs that help our school run successfully.

Each preschool family agrees to:

  1. Work in the classroom as a "Duty Parent" every two to three weeks;
  2. Perform a job that benefits the preschool at large for the duration of the school year. Jobs range from treasurer to library and require various levels of commitment and time;
  3. Have at least one parent attend monthly parent education meetings;
  4. Participate in fundraising activities to support the school;
  5. Assist with set-up or food needs for ongoing activities throughout the year.

Each toddler family agrees to:

  1. Attend each session with your child;
  2. Clean the classroom once during the term.
